WHY WE DO THIS? Body of Sound and Alyssa's mission is to help you feel good in your body, and to uplift through movement, music and community.

This is a special opportunity to come together to practice, celebrate life and have fun! We use embodiment practices to get in touch with our deepest source and intuition, then we align this with creative energy to manifest the lives we want to live. Let’s take a break from the ‘normal’ routine to create some magic together. 

STARTS: Friday Sept 19th at 3pm
ARRIVE: Please plan to arrive Friday between 3-5pm. 

ENDS: Sunday Sept 21st at 3pm 
DEPART: Sunday afternoon 2-3pm

Allow more time time than you think to get there and enough time to settle in and set up camp so you can enjoy the afternoon and evening activities. Trust perfect timing!

Camp Loma is about 1.5 hr from Berkeley or San Francisco, and about 40 min from Santa Cruz. Please map it from your location and plan accordingly.

Everything you’d normally need to be cozy and comfortable camping.

• Rain gear as it may rain Fri evening or Saturday. It shouldn't be too bad if we are prepared with warm clothing. Make sure your tent has a rain fly.
• Layers layers layers. It’s the bay area and the weather is unpredictable. Morning practices may be chilly, afternoons will be hot, and evenings may be chilly. Think of your coziest things like UGGs + sweaters as well as your cute warm weather goodies like tank tops and shorts. We'll also be sitting/laying down outside for many of the activities
• Your own hot beverage mug and water bottle.
• Comfortable shoes for walking, hiking, dancing outside
• Tent
• Sleeping bag or sheets, blankets, pillow, pillowcase 
• Sleeping pad
• Toiletries - everything you need for your own hygiene
• Towel for shower
• Camp chair for you and everyone in your crew if you have them
• Extra blanket or something to sit on and/or wrap up in during concerts/activities if you want to sit/lay down
• EXTRA CREDIT if you can bring something to add to the chillzone (another blanket, floor pillow, ground cover or something cozy - think outdoor living room)
• Yoga mat and any props you may need such as block, strap, blanket
• Tarp or mat to put under your mat if you don’t want to put your yoga mat directly on the ground. 
• Headlamp for walking at night and lantern or any lighting you may want for your sleeping space
• Any snacks or protein you may need to supplement the vegetarian meals
• Alcohol if you choose to moderately partake or share with the group
• Cooler to keep your own drinks/snacks in - we may have extra room in the kitchen fridge but not guaranteed
• Wet wipes are always good to have if you don’t want to shower before bed ;)
• Sunscreen
• Insect Repellent - we'll be in the woods!
• Sunglasses
• Sunhat
• Costumes or something fun to wear for the evening dance party
• ​Instrument if you want to play during free time

WHAT YOU DON’T NEED TO BRING

• Water. There is plenty of delicious high quality water available.
• Meals - we serve delicious vegetarian meals per day from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch

And what about the food at camp you ask?
We'll be enjoying fresh, mostly organic and delicious meals prepared by a talented chef! Each meal will have several selections to choose from to please a variety of tastes and special dietary needs. Breakfast will feature organic eggs, cooked grains with a variety of toppings and milks and fresh fruit. Lunches will feature a bountiful salad bar and a variety of soups to choose from for example Coconut Butternut Squash, Creamy Potato Dill, and Italian Lentil with Sun-dried Tomatoes. Dinners we'll enjoy a delicious feast filled with fresh veggies, grains and mouthwatering flavors. (Organic Mac and Cheese will also be available for the little ones.) Desserts - let us surprise you! 
*Our chef also has a background in nutrition and is happy to accommodate special needs as much as possible.

• ​We will provide vegetarian meals Friday dinner to Sunday Lunch.
• Most meals will be vegan and gluten free with the exception of eggs, some cheese/dairy/bread on the side.
• If you are a big snacker or meat eater please consider bringing some to supplement so you have what you need.
• Water and some non-alcoholic drinks provided. 
• If you want alcohol please bring your own or something to share and drink mindfully. 
• ​Bring your own cooler if you want snacks/drinks by your tent.

This venue offer beautiful camping in the forest.

1. Oak Grove - this is an easy short walk from your car. Priority goes to families with kids, elders, and people with special needs. This camping area has a bathroom and is a 5 minute walk to the main activities and dining hall.

2. Woods - this is just a bit further up the trail and nestled in the forest. This is for people who enjoy more quiet and immersion in nature, and are ok with walking your stuff in a bit further. There is a bathroom just down the path from this camping area, and it is a 5 minute walk to the main activities and dining hall. 

3. Car Camping - This is ONLY if you are camping in your van, RV or vehicle. This flat parking lot is along the road, but it's still pretty quiet. This is a 3-minute walk to the bathrooms, classes and dining hall. 

Is there cell service or wifi?
No there is NO CELL SERVICE OR WIFI.Prepare for a device-free weekend! There is a landline you can use if needed but it requires a calling card. The number is (831) 724-8355
Is there only camping or are there other accommodations available?
This venue is all camping and you must bring your own tent and camping gear. There are two camping areas in the "upper camp" across the street from our main activities area.
Do you have any glamping options if I don't want to bring my own gear?
We are sold out of the glamping options.
Can I sleep in my own vehicle?
Yes, you can sleep in your own vehicle at no extra cost. Just let us know beforehand so we can prepare space for you.
What's the food like? Do I need to bring my own?
We are providing 3 delicious vegetarian meals per day from Fri dinner to Sun lunch. So not unless you want to have meat or maybe your favorite snack to squirrel away just in case you get hangry!
Are there bathrooms and showers?
Yes there are shared bathrooms and showers in a couple of locations. These are rustic campground style.
Will there be a kids area, kids activities or babysitters?
Yes there will a dedicated kids area with an adult during certain hours plus several kids activities offered so that parents can enjoy the other classes.
Are all activities open to everyone?
Yes all activities open to everyone. If you decide to bring your kid to an adult's activity, please be willing to manage them.
Is this indoor or outdoors?
The entire venue is outdoors with the exception of the kitchen (dining hall is outdoors).
Is this meant for individual adults or families?
This is meant for everyone to feel welcome! We believe community is important regardless of age and status. Many of the activities are designed for all ages to be together, while others are set up specifically for adults or kids separately.
Is the pool open? Will there be a lifeguard?
No the pool will not be open this year. 
​What time can I arrive on Friday?
You can arrive anytime after 3pm. 
What time can I stay until on Sunday?
You can stay until 3pm, unless you want to volunteer for clean up crew :) 
Are there trails nearby?
Yes, there are hiking trails and world class mountain biking trails very close by.
