Day Out Of Time retreats offer a spacious day to rejuvenate yourself, revitalize your practice, and connect with community. These local day-long retreats include movement, meditation, time to relax, read, write and hang with new and old friends.

INTENTION: Come Home To Yourself

Receive the medicine of your own attention, your breath, and the gift of this practice as you connect with yourself and community. You can chill and flow however you'd like throughout the day. If that means sitting something out and taking time for yourself, it's all good. This is a day for self care and enjoyment.

Inspired by my trip to Southeast Asia, I realized how important it is to take time out of our busy schedules to slow down, unplug from the stresses of daily life and plug into the deeper source of inspiration and rejuvenation. Some of the best days on my trip had a magical quality of spaciousness... each felt like a day out of time. I'm inspired to bring this feeling to my retreats and share this precious time together.

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

Please plan to arrive by 9:30am to give yourself enough time to park and walk to out meeting room, relax and settle in, enjoy a cup of tea, and be ready for a wonderful day.

There is often more traffic on weekends so allow more time than you think to get there.

Please let me know if you need to leave early.

Our retreat will be held in Stillwater Hall

This is easy to find on google maps. Please make sure you have directions pulled up before you leave. If you are unfamiliar with the area, please print or screenshot a map.

CARPOOLING

Please carpool with others if you can. If you'd like to consider carpooling, here's a google sheet to coordinate amongst yourselves.

PARKING

As soon as you arrive at the bottom of the long driveway make the first LEFT to the DAY PARKING LOT(there will be signs). Park here and walk along the paved road for 5-7 minutes until you and arrive at the buildings on your right, turn right towards the buildings and take an immediate left to follow the signs to Stillwater Hall. We'll be ready for you there :)

SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE (we hold it lightly)

9:30am - Arrive, set up, settle in and have tea
10am - Opening Circle + Morning Flow Practice
BREAK - Walk, rest, write, hang out, connect
12:30pm - Lunch
2pm - Restorative movement, meditation, and writing
3:30pm - Afternoon snack + Closing Circle
4pm - THE END - Enjoy the rest of your evening, take a drive along the coast or perhaps gather with a crew for dinner :)

WHAT TO BRING

WHAT TO BRING

Everything you’d normally need to be cozy and comfortable at a yoga retreat.

There are yoga mats and props available there for you to use. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer, especially if you have a good thick bolster for restorative as the ones there are a bit flimsy.
Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, light long sleeve layer)
Water bottle (there is water there to refill) + travel hot beverage mug. There are mugs there for inside use.
Journal and writing implement
Walking shoes if you'd like to walk to the ocean or around the property

FOOD

We'll provide tea and a light snack upon arrival and an afternoon snack before you depart. Our delicious vegetarian lunch will be made and served by Green Gulch kitchen.

Please let us know any allergies or restrictions in the registration form, and we'll do our best to accommodate. If you have very specific dietary needs, please plan to bring whatever you need to supplement your meal.
All of the common allergens are listed on the menu board for each meal. Allergens are generally noted by the first and last letter of the allergen. For example: NT=Nut, DY=Dairy, SR=Sugar
All allergen free meals are served in the kitchen behind the main dining room.

COVID PROTOCOLS

These are the current protocols from Green Gulch...

Green Gulch is an intergenerational community with a variety of health needs. In order to help keep our community healthy, we require that all retreat participants conduct a rapid antigen covid test in the 24 hours before arrival. Results do not need to be shared. If you test positive, please do not come to Green Gulch.
